As I understand it, the French Senate is permitting each local governmental body to implement measures as they see fit- hence the differences. Thanks for posting these.

the restrictions on alcohol from 6 pm to 6 am, are only restrictions on take out of alcohol. they don't want people congregating on the street drinking. went to Eddy's last night, not as crowded as they normally are. what a great meal. I have to stop drinking pina colada's, I gained 2 pounds last night from the colada I am sure.

Hopefully we won't have any more restrictions. the only ones st. barths has now are mask wearing in stores & restaurants, no alcohol on the street after 6pm. things could change, hopefully they won't.

Unfortunately with Delta, there will most likely continue to be more restrictions everywhere.

In the latest government report posted by Kevin, it says alcohol highway sales not permitted from 6pm to 6am. What is your interpretation of this as he and me are puzzled as to what it means?

Isn't there a restriction on "night clubs"?

No drinking in the streets-think Cantina, Select and the overspills on to the roadways from their establishments.

as I understand the new restrictions, it says limited hours at nightclubs for st. barths. we really only have one nightclub don't we and that would be modjo? new closing time for restaurants is 12. I spoke some with Mahe last night and we were discussing what is happening with Martinique, they have closed their restaurants in Martinique for 3 weeks. Mahe said if that would happen here, then he would just close until next season. Neither he nor I think that would happen here, but no one knows what the future may bring.

JEK, that would be health pass or neg antigen/pcr test. modjo has been doing tests outside of their establishments for people who do not have a health pass.

I just read Kevin's post about Super U cannot sell alcohol after 6 pm. that is true. the restaurants also cannot let you leave their place with a drink in your hand after 6pm either. no bottles of wine to go etc. its okay to drink in the street before 6 pm.

This is difficult to manage for all of us. The government is trying to ‘stop the spread’ without ‘going too far.’ It is really up to all of us across the world rather than ‘just’ the governments per se to do our best to avoid contracting and giving the disease to others.

I haven't come across that original post yet so am unaware of the context and I don't know about France, but in Italy the US CDC vaccination card can be used in place of the "green pass" to enter museums, restos, bars, etc. Is it expected to be the same in St Barth?

As I understand it from today’s NYT, Americans can use their vaccination cards as ‘health passes’ in France so one would assume it would be the same in SBH. But it seems there are increasing numbers of vaccinated people contracting the virus (Delta) so the 48 or 72 hour negative RT- PCR test requirement may prevail.
