Agree with Mike on his assessment of Le Bouchon. It's good and the service is real good. Convenience for us places us there for an occasional pizza or paninni and a cold beer. Good prices as well. You can listen to the sounds of traffic pass by, watch all who shop at L'Oasis for groceries, or simply 'take out' which is what we do.

Suggestions: Ananas pizza or club poulet.

GREAT PLACE.

You can dine there al fresco - and it is a popular spot with the locals. But they also do a robust take-out service.

Our stunt now is to have a Heavyduty Lunch at St Jean - perhaps Nikki with Miker - and laze away the afternoon around there or on the beach. On the way home, we will pick up goodies from Le Bouchon and then dine in at the villa that evening. Good pizza, good salad, good panini and nothing is expensive. Also, nice people.

It is a great little place and has become a two - three tripper for us when we want more casual food for a great price.

in the plaza as you come down the hill into L'Orient where the L'Oasis grocery store is located

Ate there Sunday night, had the pizza not nearly as good as Andy's. Pizza's had thin crust but not a whole lot of flavor.

When Andy is slammed, he often sends people their way as his "overflow".

Among other things, we've tried the "Chien Chaud" Merguez. If you sit in the right locations, the mist can be very cooling. It's fun to see the reaction of people the first time they get spritzed.

James,

That misting machine is definitely a marvel for me. It fogged my camera lens yesterday, but left me refreshed and totally dry. Howdoitknow???

Being an early to bed early to rise kind of guy, one of the things I like about Bouchon is that I can go down there at 6:00 PM to grab an early pizza. If I call ahead, it's generally ready when I arrive. If I just show up the wait is made pleasurable by one or two small, green Heinies, depending on how busy they are.

Bouchon is also a great place for my wife to have a refreshing glass of wine while she waits for me to do the grocery shopping at March

We often eat at Le Bouchon when we're looking for an easy, inexpensive dinner. We've made it a habit to go there on a Sunday evening after a huge brunch at La Gaiac earlier in the day. Service is always friendly, food is decent and very reasonably priced. And, we are always very amused to have wine served nicely at the table... right in the middle of that scenic strip mall/parking lot.

George,

Thanks for that opinion. It has not been my typical experience at Le Bouchon, but we need to hear the bad with the good.

The pizza was not bad, I just didn't think it was as good as Andy's. The service was friendy and fast considering the place was packed about 9 Sunday night.

I oftrn have a pizza there, they're nearly as good as ours. Thanks for the photos JEK by the way.

Andy,

Last night's dinner of grilled daurade and coupe caramel was one of the best I've ever had at your Hideaway. Including ours there were 4 tables filled with Forum members that I recognized, perhaps more that I didn't know. As usual the Hideaway was packed.

We really enjoyed Le Bouchon. Ate there twice last year and had a great time. Food was good and there was a young man working as a waiter who entertained everyone. We will be there on our next trip
