My limited knowledge and understanding from speaking to locals and long-term residents is it all suddenly changed after Irma. So many properties were converted to short-term rentals and business staff housing.

How does Monaco handle this? Almost 4x the population and 10th of the land. I thought I saw that residents of Monaco get a guaranteed reduced rate. Can this be implemented here? Surely the island will begin to suffer when the working people that keep it running no longer can afford to be here.

I thought about that as well. Trains to/from less expensive towns/villages?
