Penzey's Spice

Preparing a test batch of Dukkah today and discovered a wonderful spice store in Falls Church.
Also found Trader Joe's has a prepared version.

Penzey's has good stuff. Their prices tend to be a bit high, but they have good quality spices. Beats the heck out of doing spice shopping in a typical grocery store.

Penzey's is great. I love trying out their blends. Check out their Herbes de Provence.

I just went into a new one they just put in one of our malls here....great selection, check out all the different chiles!!!

Good find! Never heard of this place, but will be going into the Falls Church store. JEK--you are full of spicy info lately!

On that note, Tom had Pho for dinner this evening, somewhere in Reston, and got to talking with the owner. He brought Tom a tiny bit of his house-smoked black pepper, which is added to the Pho. Out of ths world, I hear! Smoked pepper....never heard of it, but I will be on the hunt for it....
