As reported yesterday, some new items (particularly in starters) . . . GREAT additions in “The Lobster Menu” . . . and the Desserts page has grown (reflecting a new pastry chef in the kitchen, I suspect).
The Salade de Langouste Niçoise is a fabulous addition!! Very light vinaigrette dressing on a beautifully presented & delicious Niçoise salad, using Langouste instead of tuna . . . playfully presented on long, boat-like leaves of Romaine lettuce. Elegant to see & refreshing!
As a “True Blue” American, I also ordered a side of grilled ”Corn on the Cob” . . . memories of happy warm weather picnics & summer bar-b-ques.
Finally, unable to resist my sweet tooth, I enjoyed — even loved! — the Sundae Coco . . . scoops of spiced coconut sorbet served on light, flaky puff pastry shells (because of my DF limitation, I took the whipped cream on the side).
If interested, following are the new menus (some prices lowered . . . none increased!).
Finally, today was a “Disk Jockey Day.” I’m very happy to report that the music was great, IMO . . . nary a “boom boom,” screeching sound. Instead, lovely music — some with a beat — that didn’t interfere with conversation, but saw many people feeling the pulse . . . swaying to the beat. At last, a beach restaurant that has got it right!
A wonderful luncheon! Congratulations to proprietors, “the kitchen,” and gracious servers!
