Oh my, Nutella Croissants

Senior Insider
Yesterday, we went out for breakfast to Petite Colombe in Lorient. Actually, we were heading to Choisy in St Jean cfor a change of pace switch to blueberry muffins. But serendipitously,as so often occurs here, there was a parking space right in front of PC, so we took that as a sign to pull in at once.

I was impressed with the sleek new showcases and decor. And oh so many gorgeous sandwiches, and pastries, and breads. But what to my wandering eyes should appear, nestled up to an almond croissant quite so near? But a crispy looking croissant, with crushed and halved filberts, hazel nuts, atop! Further examination showed a strand of Nutella to be inside and drizzled on top. I caved. With hot and fresh cappuccino this was my new breakfast of champions.

My new mission is to take a picture so you will easily know what to look for in the showcase. Trust me, TO DIE

Once again, our trusty food editor brings us news of the season! That parking space was meant to be, Amy!

Amy, this post makes me miss the island so much! Petite Colombe is a quintessential delight: the tastes, the smells, the visuals! I took this picture on Sunday while buying “goodbye” goodies for the flight.
Notice petites Christmas logs display. The minis can be ordered in bigger sizes for Noel. Adorable! 59154F34-0E58-402F-B501-8AFDBCECCA7B.jpg

Oh my! Between your post, Amy, and seasalt's photo....I'm done! What I wouldn't give for a St Barth sweet treat right now. *sigh*

I had one of those Nutella croissants, too. It was delicious...but very rich. Randy *had* to help me finish it!

How delightful to read your drool-worthy post! I could clearly picture it in my minds eye while reading it!!

Amy so clever with her words & knows how to have breakfast & Phil with the pix of the fashion show, oh my, can't wait to be back ! Where is Choisy in St Jean ? I just know the one in town & out at Oasis...now another ?

After taste testing hundreds of croissants, L’isoletta croisants filled with pastry cream win by a mile. All made in-house
