Need advice

I suspect we are the annoying people who are adding to the influx of people heading to SBH for the festivities of the Le Select weekend, but we're fun, so hopefully there's room for us...

husband and I decided last minute after finding accommodations to head to SBH for our 10 year anniversary/ my 40th birthday. We are well travelled in the Caribbean, first trip to SBH. Booked tix through SXM, arriving Wed, Nov 4th at 2:10. No available flights SXM/SBH (for obvious reasons) on the 4th that we can catch.

?? is...do we take our chances on the ferry operating to get out of SXM asap on the 4th, or wait for the available flight we can catch on the 5th at 9:30 a.m.? There is an available return flight on the 10th, super $$$$, but available.

contact Terrance at www.airsxm.com ...he has been putting together last minute shared charters at very reasonable prices

if not that you are pretty much limited to ferry boats over at this late stage

I had emailed voyager yesterday about our tickets and assumed I would not hear back. I received an email today verifying they would still be operating during November. It does give me some hope that if they would email back they have intentions of being around.

Welcome. Join the madness. There's always good help. As, Mike said, Terrance is a good starting point.

Wish we could be there with y'all.

I saw his last minute shared charters- I agree, very reasonable, but not until the 6th. we just want to get there as quickly as possible after landing in SXM. Didn't know if taking one for the team on the ferry was better, or if the ferry was so bad that it would be worth waiting until the next morning to fly out.

thats up to you....given what appears to be at the very least, the uncertainty of the ferry status...I would fly over in the morning if it were me

have a nice night in Grand case and out next morning

Mike, thanks for your feedback. Think I'm with you on that decision. We have friends with Westin connections and can stay there for the night b/f flying out. Just think we are better suited for SBH than SXM. :p

Our first trip without taking friends along since our honeymoon. Looking forward to meeting people there- sounds like that's not too hard to do!

Terrance does shared charters, but is, for all practical purposes, in the business of getting people from point A to point B. Speak to him directly, give him your particulars and he will use all available resources to get you were you want to go, when you want to go. He has an uncanny ability to arrange things that otherwise look impossible.

Hi ldauksch,

Send us an email via our website if you haven't done so already. I will be in the office this after to review the schedules and see what else we have going on around your prefered travel dates.

Overnighting at the Westin and taking SBC to SBH seems like a relaxing way to go about it too.

Hey Marty, how are you doing? :)

Voosh, read your Rambo-like trek through the jungles of SBH and your first encounter of the french military kind. LOL. Good thing they didn't draw first blood. Ha ha ha :)

Doing great, Terrance, thanks!
I'm missing the Parrothead weekend, but coming down right after with my father to celebrate (or escape from) my 50 and his 90. Our b-days are two days apart and he has never ventured down there with us before. Would have been fun to see Buffett on SBH, but he scheduled the wrong date for us - I guess he thought Le Select's birthday was more important this time : )
I don't mind missing that much. It's kind of like a Latvian wedding – day 2 is always twice the fun! It will be great to sit at a table over Ti punch with two of the wisest gentlemen I know…

Marty

Hi-What a great role model for Marius your Dad of soon to be 90 years will be. Bless them both, Amy

Terrance,

Always good to see you smiling.

The stories are sometimes hard to swallow by some. BUT, I have pictures and film and witnesses. Always a good and hectic time.

Take care,

Voosh
