Music Festival Classical Strings Perform

Tonight at the Anglican church in Gustavia we were treated to a candlelight concert featuring strings in various configurations. The many excellent musicians performed a variety of works from Bach and Wagner to Villa Lobos and Gershwin. The packed house was full of patrons who braved the on and off rain and windy conditions. They were suitably rewarded with a great evening of splendid music expertly performed.

I’m sure that it was wonderful . . . I was tempted to cancel a dinner commitment, but stayed with plans at Eddy’s (a very festive time!)

I loved how the church setting made the strings sound warm and close. If you’re on the island during future concerts, getting there a bit early really helps with seating.

I was in the same boat and wanted something that didn’t feel stiff or boring, so I tried artmaster.com and ended up sticking with it. The AI teacher made practice way less frustrating, and having quick videos from real musicians helped me stay consistent. The 7‑day free trial gave me enough time to see if it clicked without stressing about a commitment.
