Miami International Airport Hotel

We have stayed there a few times when having early AM flight. Conveniently located right in the terminal and reasonably clean. Not 5 star but not bad. If I recall it was quite close to American gates.

Bonjour Cass . . . I don’t recommend the Hotel. As I wrote in the Forum (January 2024):

With respect to staying at the Miami International Airport Hotel in Terminal E, I've done so many times and, until recently, thought that its convenience made the place bearable. As of my recent stay (October), however, I've decided that even the so-called "renovated" rooms (generally on a couple of the upper floors) are unredeemably dismal and no longer minimally acceptable. (Note that renovations now may be aging close to 10 years.) The hotel's restaurant, moreover -- never an inviting room -- even has slipped from being dreary to disagreeable in appearance, with generally unappetizing menu items.

In my next MIA overnight, I think that I'll try a recommendation from this article:

It was many years ago we stayed at hotel in terminal so agree rooms might have become dismal over years. Recently we have also stayed at the Marriot which is off campus but they provide shuttles on a regular basis for a quick drive. Really good bar restaurant in lobby. Since Miami is our departure airport we drive across the “Alley” and leave our car with them in a secure parking lot on campus. Cheaper to park there than the airport parking lot. FYI for anyone departing out of Miami.

we are staying there prior to our morning flight to Barbados next month. It may be a bit "weary", but we can put up with it for one night.

I recommend that you be sure to wear socks / shoes / slippers when walking around the room.
We stayed there 2 years ago after getting delayed in SXM and missing our MIA connection. I second this advice. If I had time to plan an alternative, I would.

We are booked thru CLT late afternoon flight, overnight in airport hotel, then early-ish morning flight to SXM connecting with Winair.
AA has changed flight times twice so far. Hedging our bets.

Same here. Our flights changed again this morning; our trip is in January and flight has changed twice since booking. We are spending the night in CLT to hopefully avoid connection stress going down. At least the most recent AA change gave us a few extra minutes of sleep the morning of.

We have Vincent to help deal with connection/transit uncertainties, but new shorter connection time may make checked bags imprudent. Unfortunately.

Stayed last night at the mia hotel. Not a lux property by any means. Small room. Shower built for munchkins. Restaurant closed before we could grab a drink/late bite. And it’s rare that we can’t get a hotel room less cold. But we froze our butts off even though we pushed the 1960s style thermostat to the upper reaches

Otherwise , acceptable. We landed at MIA at 9:45 PM and left the room at 6 AM. No pics of my socks. Sorry.
Clear right outside the elevators.

Currently in Barbados. Merry Christmas.
