L'Isola?

Since everything is Valet parking in San Diego as parking is expensive and the lots are no different in price nor very plentiful (like SBH, land is at a premium), we thought it was so convenient that SBH put that company for Valet parking in Gustavia and St-Jean at restos, so we are really grateful when we see the Valet sign. (If we are making an effort for Cass, those Louboutins are not going to hike too far 😁!)

After lunch at ER, having left the car with Valet, we walked all around St-Jean, could have gone to the beach if we had wanted to, and did not have to hassle with parking. Every time we Valet in SBH, the people have been very kind, friendly, and professional. The parking in Gustavia is now reduced by the water; took about at least 10 spots away in front of Cantina but I do feel for the locals as when you want to go out on a regular basis, or try to do regular business during the day. But everywhere we have been in a regular city, I have not seen much on street parking. San Diego just upped their meter price to at least $10/hr (around the ballpark, too!) even if you could find a space:eek: Maybe they can figure out a way to expand the shuttle in SBH? If they could find a big space to put cars, a shuttle would serve a lot of people...I saw where that hotel in St-Jean was supposed to be (with the murals). Too bad they can't use it to park and ride now if they are not going to be putting up anything for awhile as at least local people would have an option? Maybe they would have a little "good will" to the island...

Just a little addition to the above: DD said that Eden Rock does not charge anything to Valet park if you eat there and show your receipt, so you just give a tip and off you go!

We just had cocktails and they didn't charge, just a tip. Also, I have to note: When you arrive, you're given a "welcome cocktail." Gin infused with black tea the night we were there. Second, the menu expressly says "tips are included." Third, the cocktails were fairly priced, I think around 23€. Also, they gave a bowl of nuts. All of this much nicer than many other places, especially at this level of elegance.

DD is spot on. Another touch of class at ER.

Again, a very nice touch
