L'Indigo - Restaurant du Jour

Myabe it could be close with a $250 prix ix at French Laundry.

Binnie,
I will give a full report in early June. Having a special birthday celebration at the French Laundry for my sister (70) and daughter (30). Reserved the private room for ten. The room is expensive, but the food is "free". Wine extra, of course.

As always, great eating. Buyer beware. But, if it's the right taste at the right moment. Why not? Just read the fine print. The only surprise after that, well, that is one you can negotiate with the folks that said one thing and then charged otherwise. Wiley Coyote and the Roadrunner said it well - Beep! Beep! Hey, what's this? Hard stop and reasses.

We've "renegotiated" a number of things on SB, as elsewhere. Was it worth it? It was fun. Did we save a lot? Nope, probably not. If it's your time off and you want no hassles, the dealing is a bother. If you like to shave the price, there's always room for that. You won't make back the money on the villa and air.

Always a good time,

George

Heading to St. Barts for the first time mid May with another couple. Thay want to make reservations in advance for the first several nights. Is that a good idea or is it pretty easy at that time of year to get into any restaurant you want?
