Senior Insider
. . . a special Full Moon dinner. Here you can read the menu of five courses, which I offer in lieu of trying to describe the preparation of each course — photos below.

Mussel mousse amuse bouche.

Catch of the day tartare (I think it was Mahi mahi)

Saffron risotto, half covered in crushed pistachios (it was explained that one side is a favorite of Northern Italy, the other being preferred in Southern Italy)

Lobster tail with “vegetable caponata” (much like ratatouille)

Panna cotta (made with almond milk) & fresh mixed berries

As you might note, my menu was signed by the Executive Chef, David Mosca, who sent it to me with an explanation that my dinner — being Gluten & Dairy Free — varied somewhat from the printed menu (e.g., instead of a dark chocolate mousse for dessert, he substituted GF & DF panna cotta). This thoughtfulness is one of the reasons that I enormously appreciate dining at Al Mare.

The DJ music was wonderful . . . played by a young friend on the island named Sacha, it wasn’t at all intrusive.

Finally . . . leaving you with the promise of the evening — a Full Moon over Grand Cul de Sac!
