The first Philadelphia restaurant to get 4 Mobil stars more tham 30 years ago, George Perrier gave up the Mobil rating claiming burn out so the restaurant went casual but the food is still outstanding and one I keep forgetting. There is the main room upstairs and a more casual Bar Lyonnais downstairs. Here is a recent email I got
Hello All,
Thanks to those of you who attended the wine dinner on Tuesday.
I labled this email "Foodie Alert" because Chef Perrier's new tasting and Bar Lyonnais menus are the style food and price point that we all love!
The "Classic Tasting" menu (Below) is available Monday thru Friday dinner, 5 courses, and $50 a person.
Bar Lyonnais Menu is now available as a $35 "Open Prix Fixe". This means that you are free to choose an appetizer, main course, and dessert directly off the current Bar Lyonnais menu.
(Inside Tip: You could come for happy hour from 6-7 for $5 drinks and complimentry hors d'oeuvres. Then sit at a table, get Spanish Octopus/Petite Filet Mignon/Le Bec Fin Chocolate Cake FOR A TOTAL OF $45 A PERSON!!!) Thats what I would do
Shhhh....
The Classic Degustation
Foie Gras Ravioli, Sauce Perigourdine
Sautéed Saint Peter’s Fish, Paddle Fish Caviar, Orange Scented Petite Nage
Pan Roasted Filet Mignon, Pommes Puree, Sauce Bordelaise
Mixed Greens, White Balsamic and Walnut Oil
Dessert Du Chef
Monday-Friday, All Night, $50 per person plus tax and gratuity
