Le Barrage de Marigot

The COM is installing an anti-sargassum barrier at Marigot Anse.
Is it a coincidence that the first of the barriers is being installed in the quartier of the influential island boulevardier Mr Dennis ?

With all respect to CEC, I imagine it's because Marigot is the most glaring example of a vibrant and protected marine environment that's been destroyed by hurricanes and had its recovery strangled by sargassum. Bring Back Marigot!

Marigot is also part of the protected Nature Reserve. It has very little boating activity, and is the smallest area where the barrier can be tried. St Martin is trying something similar on Cul de Sac, but with an opening for marine traffic.
