La Transat, the 2-handed transatlantic race between Concarneau and St Barth on Figaro-Beneteau 3 monohulls, returns in 2023 with a new sponsor, Paprec. La Transat Paprec also has a modified format, all mixed teams.

Interesting new sponsor: “The Paprec group processes around 16 million tonnes of waste every year, transforming it into new raw materials through recycling or into energy.”

Some of that waste is processed in St Barth.

La Transat, the 2-handed transatlantic race between Concarneau and St Barth on Figaro-Beneteau 3 catamarans, returns in 2023 with a new sponsor, Paprec. La Transat Paprec also has a modified format, all mixed teams.

quick note, Kevin, the boats are monohulls, not catamarans: https://www.beneteau.com/us/page-innovation/foils-figaro-beneteau-3
and very small for a transatlantic race that can take two to three weeks depending on conditions of course
not to be confused with the F18 sport cats used for the St Barth Cata-Cup

Ellen, after so many years of following La Transat Ag2R closer than most here, I don’t know how I made that brain-fault. I’ll fix it in my post.

just didn't want people to be on the lookout for cats... the interesting thing this year is the all mixed teams.

"very small [boat] for a transatlantic race"

I watched some of the posted videos and it looks insane--like riding a bucking bronco in a washing machine. I don't want to hear people complaining about the 45 minute ferry ride from St Martin anymore.
