La Petite Colombe - Boulangerie Patisserie Traiteur à Saint Barthélémy Liked · 6 minu

anyone notice it says they are baking as of 3am for those you go to bed late! in the old days after Autour du Rocher it was traditional to go get fresh croissants and pain au chocolat at the Rotisserie which baked where Ti St Barth is now...

I am terrible at trip reports, I know. This has been a crazy week with the start of school. I am not sure if I will get around to a formal report. We did the usual tourist things and they were all great but our favorite thing was to just wander around and check out all the gorgeous buildings and scenery. Highlights included: 1) Early evening cruise down the Seine, 2) a trip to the original Hermès store on Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, 3) launching sailboats in Luxembourg Gardens and 4) dinner at http://www.royalmadeleine.com. The restaurant is not fancy but it is delicious! We went twice. The profiteroles were that good. We stayed at Le Bristol and the service was excellent.

A girl after my own heart!

And weren't you PERSONALLY invited to visit by the manager of said Bristol while attending an IdF fashion show?

Well, there you go!

Way back when we rented in Pt. Milou, we used to go there to get the goodies.

I just 'liked' the page but will probably 'regret' it soon, seeing those posts every day here in Philadelphia.

The only one that I can find on Facebook and they post a ton of delicious looking stuff! I promise I don't own an interest in them

Someone must be following you as there seems to be an uptick on this sort of FB posting:

Sorry, no info. I see what you see on FB, but know nothing beyond that to either confirm or deny what is posted by the commenter.

OK, now I have info. Boulangerie Choisy changed hands as of October 1. The new team, who many will know from island restaurant ventures, will operate it as a boulangerie, just as it has operated since 1912. More info in a separate post.

We are back for about our 8th visit (although we didn't come in 2013) and we always frequent La Petite Colombe for baguettes, etc. We are staying in Lurin this time and are a short hop into Gustavia. When driving by at night it looks like La Petite Colombe in Gustavia across from La Poste has closed. Is that the case? If so what is the closest boulangerie to go where you can park, in addition to driving to Lorient or Colombier?

Hi Wayne-when we lived in Lurin, Choisy in Gustavia was our first choice. Parking not always easy. What worked best was a two man approach-Phil circled and I popped in to purchase the supplies. Parking easier at Rotisserie near the Hideaway
