The restaurant now is open for lunch . . . filling a gap created by closing of Le Piment as it undergoes extensive renovation. I was there yesterday & today — delightful! A table of 10-or-so workers from Bacchus, a premier creator of professional kitchens in St. Barth, Lyon, & Cannes, was the primary dining group each day . . . but there were a few tables of others who were enjoying the light ambiance & fine dining offered by Chef Fabien. My simple lunch today was a large plate of paper thin slices of well-chilled, raw, high-quality, beef tenderloin with sweet cherry tomatoes & pepper-sprinkled arugula with olive oil & lemon juice. So yummy!
. . . and a refreshing dessert of scoops of homemade Lychee & Raspberry sorbets.
The Casina lunch service will not last, I suspect, beyond the late October re-opening of Le Piment. Meanwhile, with limited luncheon opportunities, it’s an absolutely enchanting & delectable spot for a cool, refreshing, refined afternoon meal. Highly recommended!
