Greetings St. Barth friends. Cheryl & I are traveling to paradise during the beginning of July. Love take out at Kiki-e-Mo. Thought they might be closed so I emailed them. Received a response from Ilene Almost immediately:
“Bonjour !
I’m so sorry. We’ve closed for the summer.
Hope you’ll be back and visit us in the winter when we reopen!”

I then asked if there were any other places like theirs for take out. Her response:

“If you’re looking for a great local sit-down restaurant we’re loving my ex-chef’s Romain’s restaurant in Lorient-La Licorne also an ex-chef Ari in Saline-Graine de Sel or Niyama in Corossol- all serving such and dinners but check their hours. Also people like ’ti Corail in Grand Cul de Sac.

Can’t think of any place for sandwiches, salads, juices, fresh ground coffee… - street food type of menu like mine.
Sorry we’re not there for you but I’m sure you’ll still eat well in St Barth!”

What is there not to love about the people in St. Barth! Plus I do not believe that we will starve!

Sounds like a kind reply from owner I.B Charneau. She was also so friendly and helpful for us when we stopped in a few times in May.

There is also a takeout place across from old La Plage on the main road into st Jean called approximately “S Cuisine “ that is good. It was IB who mentioned this place to us as well.

Good suggestion. That would be So Cuisine, across from La Plage on the lower level. Sophie’s food is based on Vietnamese cuisine.
