OK, so I'll confess to being an idiot, but I was clicking through the text and photos quickly and for the briefest of moments thought that the food and drink pictures were from some new bar/restaurant venue inside Notre Dame and thought "huh, that is a bit sacrilegious. "

Our pilgrimages to Notre Dame always end with a visit to touristy Berthillon on the Ile de St Louis for our own pagan religious experience.

Maybe you didn’t read the post to the end? Explaining the restaurant photos, I wrote as follows in the last paragraph:
“Post-Mass hours included a “walkabout“ stop for a coupe de champagne at St. Regis café on Ile St. Louis & lunch at Ma Bourgogne restaurant at the Places des Vosges.”

I had JC’s white asparagus with fresh herbs and a delicious light dressing for an appetizer this past Wednesday night. Truly delightful, but then again, he is the master.
