JetBlue ticketing agreement with Tradewind

I either didn't know this or more likely just didn't remember it, so I figured I would post it. Doesn't matter on the way home because your bags are basically coming with you and a couple other people's bags, but on the way down it could help with a tight connection at SJU to have them take care of the bag for you - assume they do like usually with "one ticket". LMK if I have this wrong

Every interline agreement that I’m aware of requires both tickets, in this case JetBlue and Tradewind, to be purchased on the same itinerary. The positive aspect is that your bags get transferred. The negative aspect is that it sometimes results in slightly higher fares.

Bolded definitely the positive and can be Important at SJU with a short layover which was why I was happy to see it.

I'm not sure what you mean by both tickets. Different plane so different ticket for sure, just one itinerary so you get those benefits. Price was actually the same for me when I just checked but I booked separately because it was for the way home and time wasn't an issue and because I figured it was more likely to get my 10 Tradewind points towards a free flight if I booked directly though them

By both tickets on the same itinerary I mean your JetBlue ticket and your Tradewind ticket. In order to take advantage of the interline agreement both tickets would have to be on the same itinerary, which would require booking Home-SJU-SBH on the JetBlue website. Booking Home-SJU on JetBlue’s site, and then booking SJU-SBH on Tradewind’s site would result in two itineraries, and would not get your bags automatically transferred in SJU.

As always when checking bags, check the tags to be sure that they’re going where you expect them to go, in this case SBH.

I figured it was more likely to get my 10 Tradewind points towards a free flight if I booked directly though them

if you book thru JB just call TW and link your JB confirmation code to TW flight and they will award you your flight points. For award travel though, that has to be booked thru TW directly.

Correct. I never realized JetBlue and Tradewind had such an agreement

Seems the same arrangement is true for United, BA, and AA with Tradewind...
