If not St Barths, where would you go?

Well, Cape Town has a few good beaches . . .

Yes, it's pretty cool over there. Combining a tented safari camp out in the bush where you listen to a lion roar at night with some time on a beach as the Indian Ocean laps at your feet is a combination you can't get many places. It also has a similar proximity as St Barths to the equator, so it will be nice during June-August (their winter).

Lots of great ideas so keep them coming. We are traveling with another couple one of with also has a big B-day around the same time which makes this a "Bucket List" trip. We are hopimg to go somewhere none of us has visited before. That takes Cape Town and the safari off the list along with Russia. We were in Napa for the crush and did the SS Camero drop top, nice! Croatia is starting to push it's way into the top 3-5.

Like St. Barts, once won't be enough!!!!!

Sorry, this was supposed to be part of "If Not St. Barts, where would you go?" (Technically challenged lurker)

Unfortunately much of the Cinque Terre was hit hard by flash flooding earlier this year. It is still recovering and can use much needed tourism to give it a boost.

Nice photos! I've been lobbying for a trip to Italy this year, thus far unsuccessfully. Sending these pictures to my husband.

I also spent a few nights at the Ngorongoro Crater Lodge----it's really beautiful!

SBH Pro----Croatia is beautiful----I spent time in Dubrovnik, and it is in my top 5 seaside visits ever (SBH, Sardinia, Santorini, are also on top of the list). It's wonderful! I would like to return and see some of the other coastal towns----I hear great things.

SBHPro...if Croatia continues to move up your list, I can forward you to a Croatian woman I know who lives in Paris and runs a business which advises clients ( and books trips ) on Croatian vacations.....

For southern african beaches, check out Mozambique.

That continent is really something that can offer unforgettable experience.
