Hour and 25 minutes enough layovertime-SXM to SBH?

Reading all of the previous posts, has me nervous! We have an hour and 25 minutes between our Delta flight and our SBC flight to SBH. We will have luggage SBC says that’s enough time. Is it?
This is our first time to either island.

"We will have luggage" --does that mean luggage checked with Delta? If so, it likely will be enough time to claim your luggage and pass through immigration and security controls. It could be "close," however . . . depending on time required in de-planeing, number of passengers also retrieving luggage, and time required to re-enter the airport and pass through immigration & security screenings.

Also consider IF Delta departs from ? on time & arrives on time at SXM. When we flew thru SXM numerous times from PHL, it was a case of hedging your bets yet that was on the old USairways then AA. Perhaps rethink the luggage if checking it...less is more. Enjoy your first visit !

I would trust SBC's advice as they're have always been excellent with our arrivals and departures. We have never missed a flight, even arriving earlier flights if space available.
IMHO it is enough time, but I do not stress at airports like Juliana or Remy.. If it was ATL or MIA that would be different 😆

Thx, yes-checked luggage. We will hustle

I fly DL but have never made a connection with SBC as we are always too late arriving. I fly with checked luggage but we always have Vincent's PREMIUM IV service that meets us when we arrive, they take care of getting the luggage, and whisking you through immigration without waiting in any lines with other people, and they take care of getting your luggage on your next flight, and then getting you to your flight or get you on an earlier one if it exists. It is not inexpensive, but we fly from California so we are exhausted when we arrive, so for us, it is a very welcome service, literally and figuratively. So if you feel that it would appropriate, I would certainly suggest Premium IV as an excellent choice. Bon voyage!! Hope you have a fabulous trip😊!

just curious, when Premium IV at SXM or TW VIP service at SJU fetch your checked bags for you, how are they connected with your bags? For passengers, it's purely a visual ID on baggage carousel.

When Tradewind agent met us when we arrived on American we gave him our claim tags and showed him a picture of our checked item. We also had a Tradewind luggage tag on it.
We went right to lounge and he did the rest.

. . . maybe my comment already has been addressed & I missed it, but — for benefit of first-time Tradewind users — I think it’s important to note that the meet-& -greet, luggage transfer service is not part of the basic Tradewind ticket price. It is, however, well worth the cost for many travelers.

Agreed.

Like others, I take a photo of my luggage, and I give them a printed copy.

I do not know if it is still the case, but when we did not have Vincent's assistance, the SBC reps were taking our luggage claim tags and were able to pick up our bags.
