. . . a “tropical chic hotel,” as its website describes. And it is.
In a serene, gracious, garden setting of flourishing tropical plants & trees, the outdoor luncheon, poolside dining area of ”Restaurant Dolce Vita” has numerous sophisticated Italian offerings. My luncheon companions & I, nonetheless, dined in a substantially non-Italian way . . . with beef carpaccio, a salad of cucumbers & watermelon with red onions, an enormous cheeseburger (generously divided between two people) with tasty, homemade fries, tagliatelle with bolognese sauce, and my choice — Salad Nicoise, which was large & delicious with rare fresh tuna.
. . . a very delightful & leisurely afternoon, with a garden variety “red-footed tortoise” & a black kitten with white paws ambling around the pool deck.
