Honeymoon restaurant recommendations

I will be coming to St. Bart's in two weeks for my honeymoon. I was there two years ago and we ate at some good places. I'm looking for recommendations for some not super expensive, quaint, lesser known restaurants that would be good to try. We've been to the hideaway, la langouste, le select, les bananiers. Just wanting some new places that will be open in mid-June, thanks!

Welcome to the forum. You might want to add Carpe Diem and Cote Port in Gustavia to your list. Congrats.

Try La Gloriette, on the beach in Grand Cul de Sac for a feet in the sand lunch, or pizza/burgers/salads (for dinner only).

Carpe Diem in Gustavia is new this year, and has been getting very good reviews.

Le Repaire, across from the ferry terminal, is in my regular rotation.

You'll find menus from many of the island's restaurants at http://www.alacarte-stbarth.com/?lng=en

In town I often forget about Pipiri and Repaire too. I have yet to try Isoletta for their highly recommended pizza

Congrats on your upcoming wedding and welcome to the forum! I'd add to your restaurant list Black Ginger in Gustavia. It offers Thai cuisine which is excellent and not over the top expensive. Great creative cocktails also!

La Creperie serves non-stop which comes in handy when you overstay your morning at the beach and get to Gustavia too late for lunch elsewhere. For some reason, this happens to us frequently. :D

Ditto Le Repaire.

Welcome! Happy Honeymoon! Gloriette is excellent for dinner and lunch. I highly recommend it with Repaire. Le Select is a win.,.you can't go wrong. Don't know where you are staying, but if you have a kitchen, cooking in is fun, too!

We always find ourselves in Le Vietnam for bargain priced air conditioned dinner. Great for those hot humid summer nights.

We enjoyed dinner last year at Chez Yvon at the bottom of the hill in Anse des Cayes. We were the only non-locals there that evening, and it certainly fits your criteria of quaint, lesser known, and inexpensive. The accras were delicious, as was my lobster salad.

Love Chez Yvon and the lobster salad on a baguette is outstanding

"hey" it's your honeymoon, go to Le Serino or Bonito, and if open, the restaurant at Toiney, for a romantic meal.. expensive but!!!

Toiny is closed until November or December for additions and renovation... But Andy is right to splurge on one great meal.. I'd say Tamarin or Esprit Jean-Claude for that. and did anyone mention one of the most local of all places, Au Regal?

Le Carre is good in town. We also like la Repaire. If you go to Bonito, book a harbor side table with a view! Sunday afternoons at Nikki Beach is a 'hoot'! Bring your wedding dress and dance on the tables there with a magnum!

'hopper . . . I'm not sure if you were at Le Carre in the 2015 / 2016 "season." Since Franck -- former owner -- left, it has changed a lot from what is remembered by many of us, and reviews on the Forum have not been very positive. One thing that I noted in a recent walk through the restaurant, for example, was that people at nearly every table were smoking (I know . . . it's an outdoor space, but the smell of cigarette smoke was, nonetheless, pervasive).
