Holiday Car Rental

My family and I are travelling to St. Barth for 4 days between Christmas and New Years and I am having difficulty finding a rental car for that short period of time. Most agencies seem to require a 7 or 10 day minimum that time of year. I was wondering if anyone knew of an agency that might be willing to rent for a shorter period of time. Thanks for your assistance. I have enjoyed lurking on the forum for years.

With such a budget, one can just rent (and pay) for the required minimum (say a week) and just return the car earlier. I doubt that the rental company will not take the car back after being paid for the whole required minimum.

Potentially a distinction without a difference depending on minimum rental period that season. If 7 days then 25% premium is same as 7 day rental.

Thanks to all for your assistance. I was able to get a car for 7 days rental with a discount. The first rental agency would only rent for a 10 day minimum. As for the short stay it is a product of dumb luck and persistence. You might consider it similar to a “mistake fare.” I have enjoyed the forum for years and hope the posts keep coming .
