Gumbs car rental

We used that link. Gotta love Gumbs. However, in May we were informed that the manual hard top jimny wouldn't be available for our next trip. I prefer a manual and going up some of SBH hills with 4 persons is a bit slow, especially that switchback up to Lurin from Lorient.
if anyone has info on where i might be able to rent one this May...do tell.

How can you master automatic shifting? The only thing I can think of is to give it gas ahead of when you really need it...or down shift to 3??

I've used Maurice for maybe 10 years and never had any issue. I took out an oil pan and a few tires over the years and was treated fairly every time.....

Last July I had a flat tire. As I stood roadside staring at the tire Maurice employees pulled up. They changed the tire and I was on my way in minutes.....

I remember this story Martin. You were one lucky dude that they passed by so you could make the gathering in time.

They were following him to make sure nothing happened to the car.

The crew saw a problem on one of their rental cars and stopped. How many times do you benefit from that kind of dedication? So many would have just rolled by and left him to handle it on his own-this team didn't. Well done. Good story. Yes,a happy ending.

Some truth to that I'm sure..... As we drove past the airport headed to Phil & Amy's party Nancy from Maurice noticed I had a flat. They jumped in car to chase me down and caught up when I pulled over sensing a problem....

I tried out the Gumbs link....got a nice deal.
25e/day, Jimmy with a stick/ac. About half what I was paying for a Smart. Not too shabby.
