General Musings

IV....and lovely musings at that. Always enjoy reading your moving and vivid stories about the isle.

Agree with you that Les Pecheurs is a delightful, romantic experience and that we should have tried Maya's by now....c'est la vie, there's always next time.

Count me as one of the lucky few...currently enjoying a sunset from Baleine. A picture doesn't even come close to expressing the tranquility.

I wanna be there. Right now.

just goes to show your friendly side, amy....you are "sharing" with duchess!!! how's petite cul du sac?

Cass,

I wisher your post was totally accurate, but it seems to me that the road through Petite Saline was under construction for a good bit of the winter last year. I think there have been others as well, such as the rebuilt road over Grand Fond. It will be a real surprise to me if the current projects, some of them quite ambitious, are all completed before the end of December. St. B's road projects are even more of a pain for bicyclists than for drivers of other vehicles.

La route est fermé

That's what you get for going low season, mon ami. :p
Toutes les routes seront ouvertes de mi-décembre à mi-avril.

Frankly I'd be surprised if all this work is finished by mi-decembre cette année...

Oh my! Will this disturb the XMAS/New Years frou-frous? :(

Great report. Stories like these keep us going from summer to summer. In a way its like being there yet it helps build the anticipation.

It's always nice when my friend IV decides to share a few (thousand) words with the forums. Thanks.

A compter de fin avril, les travaux
interrompus au début de
la saison touristique vont
reprendre.

Hey Ben, merci mille fois! You brought me to tears and then to a huge smile. Clearly this love affair that we all share is something truly special in this world... that we can all return multiple times and experience the same contentment, joy, and peace each time. No complaints, no criticisms, just pure enjoyment. What a blessing that we have found this place and that the wonderful people of St. Barth's welcome us back year after year. Thanks so much! Hi to Bonnie and safe travels!
All the best,
Lynn
