OK, we have been spending time here for 25 years, and I admit that maybe I should know this! Is there a fresh fish market besides the one in Lorient? Mahi mahi?

On the "far side" of Gustavia harbor . . . the "new" fish "hall" is across from the Bar des Prés.

dennis is correct, its at la pointe in gustavia near the only barber shop on the island. they don't open every day, depends on the weather, but when they are open its from 6 am to 11 am.

In a word: no
Even if guys are there, by the time you get there at 6h30 or 7h00 they may or may not have anything available for you to purchase.
When we popped in last trip, there was a very, very local couple in front of us who wanted some Mahi (there was only Mahi available).
But, all the Mahi were way bigger than they needed. I proposed that they take one filet and we take the other (about 2 lbs each). Marché conclu !
By mutual consent, they were accorded the cheeks and les rogues.
