I would not be happy either.
Apparently one of their generators is down. They should have a way of notifying their customers. Here’s what they say on FB:
Due to the technical unavailability of a generating unit, load shedding will be scheduled from 10:00 PM this Friday, July 31st, until late afternoon on Saturday, according to the provisional schedule below.
To limit the impact on all our customers, EDF Archipel Guadeloupe has also activated demand response contracts, in addition to other measures implemented to maintain the balance of the electrical grid.
Following this period, a risk of load shedding remains until the morning of Tuesday, August 4th, depending on the progress of the technical operations. This schedule may be adjusted according to the progress of the repairs.
