Eden Rock reservation

I checked when I was there in May and they told me that their sunbeds are reserved for their hotel and villa guests and are not available to the public. Not sure if that is a new permanent rule or if it changes based on the season/occupancy.

Good plan and strategy
Spend money on food and drinks to open door for day bed in beach. Let us know how it works

You have to email them and tell that you would like to spend day on the beach with lunch. 90% you will get reservation! Enjoy!
As a former guest of the hotel, I have emailed Eden Rock to rent loungers while having lunch reservations. I have been declined every single time, being politely told that they reserve chairs for hotel guests and villa renters. Maybe this changes if they aren't at full occupancy, but Eden Rock is typically sold out.

That is what I have heard as well. Plus, as a non guest, Cheryl & I can’t walk up to the beach bar anymore for an afternoon drink. Yuk

Yup. We stopped by for drinks at Eden Rock's beach bar during our Thanksgiving 2023 trip and were graciously directed to the inside bar at the Sand Bar. I assume they have a good reason for doing this and it is out of respect for guests who spend $$$$$ to stay there.

Exactement. Hotel guests desire (and pay for) exclusivity.

We just came back from the island and it’s not busy at all… we got everywhere we wanted with no problem… this time we haven’t been at Eden Rock but worked for us last February which was much busier then now. Always can try you never know.

It’s expensive at the beach club: it’s the way ppl enjoy sun, food, service, crowd, music and surroundings at beach club. It’s French way to do and French ppl know how to make it unforgettable. So far my favourite is La Guerite!

* it’s experience I mean even though it’s often expensive)))

For what it’s worth, there wasn’t much beach in front of Eden Rock a few weeks ago. The chairs were up really close to the hotel, not in front of Sand Bar, and were pushed really close together.

Thanks Tiffany - I’ve been wondering about that stretch of beach for our upcoming trip as I know it can vary. Was it the same down towards Nao and Pearl?

Tiffany is correct. The last few weeks the beach on the Eden Rock side has been between very small to non-existent. One day we walked from Pearl Beach to Nikki and the water by Eden Rock was all the way up to the wall and all the loungers were in the in the area in front of the where the bridge is when you drive out of the parking lot. I can't recall seeing this before, so not sure if it is a time of year thing, or a weather thing.

There was more beach once you got to Nao. The tide was all the way up at Eden Rock.

That’s how it was when we were there…they’re was hardly any room to walk between the chairs when coming down from the Remy Bar area to walk out on the beach. I felt bad for the guests staying there.

When we stayed at Filao, there were times that there was no beach and we had to sit at the pool or in the garden. That‘s where we first met Jacki, Rick & Bart. There is always sunshine at the end of the rainstorm. Especially in paradise.

We've been coming to SBH since 1988 and never been to Saint-Jean plage. To a few of the dining spots but not really la plage.
More into the villa piscine. No sargassum. No beach erosion. No sand in your bathing suit. Bar and "conveniences" a few steps away. :geek:
