E med test for Sbh

I am confused by the various threads but question is if I am vaccinated (and boosted) can I use the emed test if I am flying via SXM and connecting on St Barts Commuter. Does it change if not boosted as one member of our party if fully vaccinated but not boosted as they had Covid recently. Thanks.

Not sure that actual question has been answered. Others can/will pipe in, with their experiences.

I believe the issue is around the SXM EHAS vs. SBH. Fully vaccinated and boosted, you will be able to complete the EHAS form, with no testing report required, 72 hours or less before you travel. What we just learned from Maryella was that, absent the booster, with a COVID history, she needed to get test results to complete the EHAS form.

As far as the eMed test, it has worked for most of us for SBH. We didn't run into issues, but we were fully vaxed, and did not need to report anything related to testing when we completed the EHAS, so it was not an issue for us, for the transit through SXM.

Hopefully someone will be able to speak to their actual experience, having success with the eMed test, when completing the EHAS, absent the full vaccination protocol.

Based on our experience today, St. Martin does not accept the Proctored Covid test. Family traveling with us are leaving the island tomorrow. Those vaccinated and boosted had no issues with the proctored test because St. Martin does not require testing and the US accepts this type of test. Those family members that were double vaccinated but not boosted (children fyi aren’t eligible for boosting) were rejected for the proctored test and had to go to the pharmacy to get a new test.

We are on Winair, which we haven’t done in years. So we can take the emed test within 48 hrs, do the EHAS, and get through immigration. Get our bags, recheck in at Winair, and that is when the test will kick in. I assume it is checked when we get to Winair. And emed will work? We are boosted.

Eve, I believe, if you are vaccinated, you can complete the EHAS form up to 72 hours before transitioning in SXM, separate from the SBH testing requirement. (used to be you needed to be vaxxed AND boosted to do that, until very recently)

You may want to start a new thread and title it something like - Anyone use the eMed Binax, traveling through SXM to SBH via WinAir. I believe that's your question that has not yet been asked. Or maybe check with WinAir? Wish I could help, but we only (successfully) transited through SXM, with the eMed test, flying JetBlue, on the way back to the U.S.

(posted on 2 threads to make sure it gets to Eve)

Our Kate just (Wednesday) traveled to SBH via SXM from DCA. She is vaxxed and boosted. She got the 24 hour PCR test in DC. She filled out the EHAS form for SXM within the 72 hour window. Absolutely no issues. Her advice to me was to have all your documentation at your fingertips in PRINT.

For her return, she will use the Emed test from home on SBH within 24 hours of her flight in order to adhear to the USA regulations. (I am bringing them with me, Tuesday)

Planning on using emed for the way down through sxm, and on to sbh with Winair. Anyone done this?
