Don't know if my opinion has any validity, so I will give you Davesdad's recent comment. We always stay at the Guanahani and there is usually one dinner included at the Barto. This year is different as they offer a dinner served in your room in our rate. Davesdad said that no way was he eating in the room for dinner; he would rather go elsewhere, even if the dinner is included..I might ask to see if it would be possible to dine in the restaurant, but DD is not a long pants kind of guy. I think the food in the past has been good, but if I were not staying at the Guanahani and if dinner were not included, I think I would choose many other restaurants first, with a limited amount of time. If we do dine there, I will be happy to send you info. We have taken cooking lessons with the chef each time we have come, and he is a really great guy. I agree, the menu looks good! As "gourmet/gourmand?!" as DD is, he'd probably opt for somewhere on the water, or Andy's..! P.S. DD is an awesome chef himself...
