As you know, mon ami, anse, from the same word meaning handle (as of a basket or jug, for example) and deriving from its shape, hence a hollowed out shape along a shoreline. Small bay.
And, if the shore of this anse is gently sloped you will find a plage or plagette (whether of sand or gravel or pebbles) there and perhaps a plagiste.
