Those lil French mosquitos are fierce. Even in a steady breeze they still do their thing, must be a lot of carbs in the blood they are sipping. Nothing planned yet except take a dip in the pool. Andra looking at the local lunch specials today, we usually miss out on those. LePiment looks like it….. but parking is impossible. I remember a place called So Cuisine & it just down from the beach parking lot. WINNER! Didn’t know what to expect but what a great place. Tiny as a match box, makes Kiki Mo look big. Poulet Massaman the deal of the day at 16€. The friendly Frenchman behind the counter showed us the portion, exceeding our expectations. Large portion so got a nice size salad & kale juice… yes I said kale juice. This place is diamond across from the beach.
Andra want to see the Andy Warhol photo exhibit at the old Wall House now the Mus’ee. I know a lot of his prints/paintings but not much of his photographs. Around 50-60 of them in the typical Andy style. Gustavia is scorching hot today….. back to the pool to cool off. Some cheeses & bread on tap as usual
Upon returning we see people we met last year, the Johnny Halliday crowd. Full Johnny tattoos an 2 couples. Looks like they do the yearly pilgrimage to Lorient for Johnny’s memorial which looks like it’s tomorrow…. so I expect it might be a little busier then usual around Jo Jo’s.
Have dinner reservations at Pearl Beach tonight. We have apps at our place, Samosas from Super U before heading out. What a setting & we basically have the place to ourselves probably being mid week. Andra had the Grouper & I had the Beef Wok. We started with Crab Rillettes which was plentiful. Meal was great & the passing showers gave it a romantic touch, Oui !
I don’t remember driving in the rain before like last night, ease up & focus a bit more no doubt.
