Le Sereno has their own parking, so not overly concerning for us. But, definitely for Ti Corail patrons.

what's nice is that it makes it a real two-way road in and out of there - with cars parked on the side before it was dangerously one way - would be perfect for Ti Corail during the day and Amnios at night .. the road work on the main road there is finally just about finished so that's nice as well...

It takes me back a bit into fuzzy memories, but as I recall, on the corner was a small white private house. We generally stayed on that side of the island back in the day. I don't recall if anything more commercial might have been there in the past 10-15 years..... My memory is that on the main road, we'd kind of crest a small hill and then it was a fairly sudden left turn - I spent many moments wondering if I was going to drive into someone's front yard.....

A home with some livestock in the yard - maybe a goat or two and some chickens. I always thought maybe those chickens were the ones waking me at 5 AM or so when our villa for the week was close by.

No . . . definitely the Collectivitie establishing some parking.

If you look closely, you can see reinforcing rods with safety caps, sitting in formwork for a footing. I’d say it’s the start of a foundation for a structure or retaining wall.
Seems very close to the road.

it does suggest that to me as well.
perhaps a wall is to render impracticable illegal parking on the little shoulder ????
