You don't go to to trade shows for tourism and tout an exclusive experience; you don't bring journalists from luxury publications and influencers to the island to promote the glitz and the glamour; try and control the message...

Oh no! Does this mean that the Gourmet Festival goes away?

I see no logical solution for the overflow of tourists.

Judging by passenger count at Rémy de Haenen visitor flow is higher than in previous years, but in the 40 years we’ve been visiting the resident population has more than doubled, and the island population density is similar to Nashville, for example.

I see no logical solution for the overflow of tourists. the island may indeed eventually price itself out of the tourist trade. As long as we don't get any fast food on the island or change saline beach, I am good.

No, I think the Gourmet Festival is a nice event that attracts tourists and locals... that can stay

The SBH Music Festival is the best! We bumped into it by accident way back when, and after that, made a point of being there for it several times over the years!
