Chile trip report - 2023–2024

Hey everyone! I'm so excited to share my incredible trip to Chile with all of you. I spent my holidays in Chile and just got home yesterday.

First stop: Santiago! This vibrant capital city greeted me with its bustling streets and stunning architecture. I explored the historic neighborhoods, visited the iconic Plaza de Armas, and indulged in delicious local cuisine. Santiago truly stole my heart.

Next, I headed to Puerto Varas, a charming town nestled in the breathtaking Lake District. The picturesque landscapes, with snow-capped volcanoes and crystal-clear lakes, left me in awe. I took a boat tour on Lake Llanquihue and soaked in the serenity of nature.

From there, I ventured into the enchanting San Pedro de Atacama. This otherworldly desert landscape is a true marvel. I joined a guided tour led by a knowledgeable local guide who took me to see the mesmerizing salt flats, geysers, and the stunning Valle de la Luna.

Punta Arenas was my next destination, where I experienced the raw beauty of Patagonia. I embarked on an unforgettable excursion to Torres del Paine National Park, hiking through rugged trails and marveling at the majestic granite peaks and pristine glaciers.

Last but not least, I had the pleasure of visiting Puerto Montt, was the perfect place to unwind. I took a boat trip through the mesmerizing fjords, capturing breathtaking views and tasting mouthwatering fresh seafood. It was a feast for the senses!


As my incredible journey through Chile came to an end, I couldn't help but reflect on the warm hospitality of the Chilean people, the rich cultural heritage, and the diverse and awe-inspiring landscapes. Chile, you have left an indelible mark on my heart.

Amazing trip.

We went to Chile about 8 years ago. Similar itinerary. Santiago for a few days on both ends of 8 days in the Torres del Paine National Park. We stayed at Explora Patagonia.
