Charly’s . . . new to La Villa Creole

. . . though written about previously, here are a few photos of this newest addition to Villa Creole — a charming petit resto à emporter, offering “grazing platters,“ colorful salads, & a variety of other ”fresh & healthy” items. Looking like fresh, nourishing, natural, tasty choices for a villa buffet, picnic at the beach, or a boat ride!

Its lovely owner, Patricia Lechaplain, explained that the name was her father’s . . . who took her with him every week to a fresh produce market in the small town in France where they lived and taught her, she lovingly described, how to cook . . . most especially using fresh ingredients.

The menu is a bit faint & difficult to read in this photo

. . . but here you can see a few ready-to-go provisions.

A lovely, very personal space . . . wishing success to Patricia!

Such a lovely addition to the St. Barths food scene! Thank you for reporting on this delightful establishment, Dennis, and looking forward to visiting Ms. Lechaplain and sampling Charley’s offerings next trip.

Best of luck!

185e for a raw vegetable/fruit plate??
Hard pass. Good luck staying open.
First of all, they are beautiful - second of all, having had them before, they are very large. Third of all, she does more than grazing boxes, she has fresh salads, sandwiches, coffees, teas, etc. Why not give it a try before being a Debbie Downer?

I too agree with Tiff. It makes a lovely centerpiece to kick off an anytime gathering.

Personally, for a platter as gorgeous as that, if I were having a few friends over I would have no problem with the price.

Every day? Nah, I’ve got a refrigerator full of grocery store cheeses and munchies for every day.

Agree. For a special occasion it’s worth it, esp to support a new local business like Charly’s.
Speaking of which, the cheese/charcouterie boards (or boxes) from the Epicurean shop at Oasis are also excellent. The owner Evelyn is lovely and you can specify cheeses if you pefer certain ones. Picking one up today!

Agree 100%

I don't think anyone was suggesting that you have a couple of these around in your fridge for snacking. ;)
