Carnival

I've been travelling to SBH for 26 years now but have never been for Carnival. My wife and I and 3 other couples will be renting a villa. we want to do it up Carnival style so we are all bringing Mardi Gras costumes and regalia. Will we be able to join the parade? What can we expect? thanks in advance for your advice and suggestions.

No pre-registration required, just jump in wherever you like. The Carnaval parade starts on the docks around three and comes along the low road into town. A plan (there are many) is to reserve a table at Le Repaire for noon and have a nice lunch and libation and then join in when the parade passes. Another plan is to camp out at Le Select for lunch and then jump in, or just hang at the corner and let the parade wash over you. Either way I will be there to take your picture!

Arriving early and parking for a good exit is also required. I would park on the upper road, or back by the Catholic church. Either way you have a clear shot out of town -- St. Jean or Lurin.
