Bring new Visitors in January

Greetings to all.

My wife and I will be returning to St. Barth this January for two weeks. This will be about our 14th trip in last 14 years. The first week is with two other couples, one of whom is making their second trip and the other their first. The second we we will be by ourselves. The three couples range in age from 45 to just past 60. Here is my question: What do you show, or do with new visitors? We have our list but welcome new ideas.

Thanks in advance for your input.

The once-around-the-island-drive seems to be an obligatory tour. Definitely a bakery visit. Beyond that, it depends on them - maybe a visit to Le Select, maybe not. Perhaps a beach trip to Gouverneur or St Jean, perhaps a shopping morning in town or St Jean. If you are hikers there's always the hike to the natural pools or to Colombier. For people interested in the island history there is the Wall House Museum. If you are boaters then a half or full-day boat rental from Ocean Must and a trip to Colombier might be in order. If you're not boaters, but would like to get out on the water, then check with Jicky Marine for a sunset cruise.

I would also suggest that they get their own rental car and explore a bit on their own - being a fulltime tour guide gets old...

For first timers I'd make sure they see the island's historic buildings, especially the ones that date from the Swedish era... visit the lighthouse for sunset... visit the three forts... go to Corossol to see a more typical-than-tourist village... brunch at Le Toiny for spectacular views...depending on the dates you are there in January you might a music festival concert or two...

Thanks. Each couple will have their own rental car. We also established a ground rule that each couple would have dinner alone at least two nights during the week. We will likely have dinner as a group three nights. Chef Bernard is scheduled to cook at the Villa. Santa Fe is a must and perhaps the Wall House.

I have never been to the Wall House Museum, that's a great suggestion. Thanks again.
