Heading out to Gustavia, we caught a nice sunset as we rounded past Public, so we made a quick stop. Left a bit early and the Jimny must have known something because we ended up on the curb in front of the Baz Bar. Have never been, since an abrupt cancellation on their part years ago due to the live music brouhaha. Happy hour spritzes were enjoyed harbor side, when a familiar looking couple we had met last year approached us. Great to have a chat with Phil and wis wife Mary-Rose, who like us are honorary "Junies" as our trips sometimes bleed into the next month. Reservation calls, so we bid farewell and headed up to the restaurant. The gregarious host (didn't catch his name) offered us a table in the upper part, which was a first. We were seated next to an open window, which puzzled me why cars were passing by, when I realized for the first time that this is the road we have driven down for years coming from Lurin.

For our starter we shared a plate of shrimp and chicken dim sum (dumplings) followed by the most succulent "fall off the bone" pork ribs outside of Texas. Lynn had the Red Curry shrimp, which was spicy, but not to the level that some Thai food can be. Desert was a beautiful, and tasty Kafir lime cheesecake and an equally delicious Mango sticky rice with a boule of coconut ice cream. Not a big deal for me if gently asked, but a CC tip was offered. I politely declined and gave my usual ten-percent in billets.

Great “food porn” shots, & always fun to see photos of Forum friends enjoying the island!
