beautiful yacht in gustavia harbor

A very nice yacht sailed into Gustavia late on Wednesday. Here are some pictures. It looked like a mini cruise ship, very impressive. Named "Boardwalk" - I think it belongs to the owner of Landrys Restaurant chain based in Texas. He's got a helicopter onboard! We heard teenagers on the deck talking to one another in decidedly american accents. I am thinking the adults went to a nice St Barts restaurant and left the kids with pizza on the boat.

I think you are correct about the ownership of that yacht. Tilman Fertitta is the CEO of the Landry's group. Earlier this year he supposedly offered $1.4 billion to buy all the outstanding stock of the company and take it private. I don't know if he was able to get it done. He owns, among other businesses, the Rolls Royce and Bentley dealerships in Houston. Not bad for a guy who started out selling Shaklee products.

It shows up on Liveships.

BOARDWALK

Vessel's Details
Flag: Cayman Is
Ship Type: Pleasure Craft
Status: Anchored/Moored

Looking at Liveships, the real question is Where is Mystery Machine, a perpetual fixture near Baz Bar?

I saw the helicopter on the upper deck when I pedaled past this quay the other day. With all those antenna and other features protruding vertically in the area of the heli-pad, I wouldn't want to be in that helicopter when it was anywhere near this vessel.

can someone post a daytime picture? and a little wider? i am dying to see this beauty

And here to think, I told them not to take that scow out of the Great Lakes. Burp.

Never knew what it looked like. Just knew it was the only thing that shows up on the Live Ships map a lot of the time.
