BAZ Bar opens Monday Jan. 22 around 5 PM

Jean-Marc has put in a lot of work to renovate his BAZ Bar and will open with a new Tapas menu and furniture on Monday. It looks better than before.

Here he is with Marius, who helped Jean-Marc get situated on St. Barth many years ago.

We stopped by Baz last night for a quick drink. They did a nice job on the repair, and everything looked fresh. The bar is a bit brighter than before, with more comfortable seating. I think Amy took some photos which I will post later.

Jean-Marc looked very good, and very happy to be back in business.

A nice DJing(?) set up has been installed, I think the live music is no longer in the cards.The woodwork is lovely and a Jimmy Buffettt signed surfboard is mounted on the ceiling.

That is a severe buzz kill. My favorite post dinner routine was live music and a cal-va-doz.

Sadly, there seems to be a lot less live music on the island than there used to be, and there seem to be DJs everywhere.

bean bags not for fatties..............would be difficult for someone overweight to get up once they have sat down. but I am sure there are lots of cute waiters to help them up!
