. . . a beautifully designed venue, directly across from the Gustavia Fish Market.

The experience of dining there, however, was disappointing. I was with some SBH restaurant owners, & we all agreed that the 90E fixed-price dinner was a disappointment.

Each of us found the starter options to be uninteresting & chose the prawn salad . . . small & undistinguished. Any of us could have done better at home.

Each of us chose the chicken brochettes for main course . . . flavorful, but modest size portions.

As I recall, no accompaniment served with the skewers.

Dessert (raspberry pavlova) also was underwhelming (one of the choices was unavailable).

I guess someone had to go the St Barth bagel route. Sacre blue! In the land of croissants.

Good luck to this latest island endeavor

Actually, Franck had Bagel Sandwiches on the menu at Le Carré. They were very popular with locals. Something different, at a fair price.

Noted Kevin. Faux bagels and a shmear? I hope they all get to NYC before it crumbles so they can experience a real BAGEL.

Franck once told me that the shopgirls loved a sandwich that they could eat in the back room. That probably came in very handy for the ones who spent most of their lunch break on a towel at St Jean wearing nothing but their bottoms.

There is absolutely no reason whatsoever to even consider having a bagel on St Barth. Sacrilege. And a waste of calories. Not to mention ruining the bikini silhouette for nothing.
