A warm hearted story set in the workplace of the COURIER, a small town newspaper. We follow the lives of the young staffers in IT, local news, local movie critic, their bosses, and even the older widow who maintains the supplies in and for the snack room vending machines.
The IT guy is charged with monitoring all in house emails that generate red flags..”no no”words and “no no” topics. Absolutely no personal emails either. The story gets going when said night IT guy gets hooked on best friends and co workers personal e-mail thread.
All the characters are well defined and the story of folks in their late twenties and early thirties finally coming of age and on their own left me with high hopes for the passing of the torch and thankfully maintaining attributes of loyalty, love, kindness,friendship civility and trust.
A good beach read that produces a witty and delightful start to 2026. Enjoy!
