Anyone visiting in September

As of this past weekend the island is pretty much closed in terms of hotels and restaurants - with a few notable places that stay open of course - just wondering if anyone is visiting in September and what brings you to the island at this time of year. We just really dodged a bullet with the remnants of hurricane Dolly over the weekend, with heavy rain, high seas, and gusty winds - not to mention thunder louder and longer than usual !

. . . “[weather] over the weekend!” Wasn’t it great! Like a great Wagnerian opera, Cecil B. de Mille film, or Andrew Lloyd Webber production. Rain pounding on the roof, with the cistern & garden sucking up every drop!

I love the Wagnerian opera metaphor - with the tympani section for the pounding thunder !
