What another fantastic vacation!!! SBH just doesn't get old! We love every minute there. This was our 1st time staying at Villa Baleine. What a lovely property, very well cared for. There is something about a new beach towel everyday that made me smile. The simple things in life. The view from the 3rd bedroom is amazing!! I highly recommend staying here. It does come with a sweet little visitor from across the driveway. I never learned the dog's name, but she has the "puppy dog eyes" which made me smile, every visit. With the road construction, we did have to detour, which got tiresome. Hopefully it will be complete by the end of the summer.

The 1st week was just Bill and I. Got relaxed and ready for the 2nd week when our daughter and SIL, joined us for their 1st visit. They said it was everything we had said it was! They will be back, not sure when, but they will. Especially because Elle didn't get a chance to shop. There was just not enough time for her to give up beach/pool time.

In no particular order:
Sand Bar - x2 - both lunches were delicious. We were well looked after and had the whole right side of the restaurant to ourselves. We were made to feel like the restaurant was open only for us.
Pearl Beach - yummy
Grain de Sel - still a great place for lunch after the beach! Love the new blue/white paint. We did miss the tuna thai noodle salad. The conch raviolis are a great starter and the tuna with chimichurri was perfectly cooked.
Nikki's Beach - went on a Friday, much quieter than Sunday for sure. Food was very good. The hot chocolate chip cookie and ice cream is not to be missed! There is a new lemon dessert that was also delicious. I would get that again
Le Repaire - once for lunch and once for dinner. Never disappoints! The apple tart is worth the wait!!! It is large with just the most perfect sugar crust. Don't miss it
Beef Bar - sunset cocktails and apps
Bar de L'oubli - take out and breakfast
L'Espirt - very enjoyable evening! Warmly greeted by the staff and well looked after. The pre fixe menu is so good. The black pork was delicious!
Tamarin - is probably one of my favorite places. We just always have a great meal here. We told them that the kids were coming the next week and to look out for them. They reported back that they were.
Beach House @ La Guanahani - spent the whole day at the resort - the chicken Milanese is HUGE! Get 1 and split it, too much for 1 person
L'Sola - the kids went and loved it.
Island Deli - X2 - works very well.
Eden to Go - avocado toast and cafe au lait - great way to start the day

Dennis - thank you for your follow up on the taxi situation. Once we connected with DJ, everything worked out very well. He was reliable, fun, and professional. We will be using him again in December.

To add our 2 cents to the banking thread. The BNP back across from Tom Beach, was the best ATM we used. It provided current exchange rate and did not charge a service fee. Used our Schwab debit card. They did have a max limit at each use. That was an easy work around. I did appreciate getting 100 euro bills. We also tried the CE, across from the post office. They had a fee and a terrible exchange rate.

I need to learn, "less clothes and more Euros" Boy did we over pack. After all of these visits, I should have learned by now.

We will be back on SBH right before high season and are planning our May trip for 2027!

I hope everyone has a great summer and safe travels where ever you are headed.

Nice!

You should ensure that Elle is aware of Les Soldes, the twice-yearly sales in many shops. The typical dates are a 2-week period from the 2nd half of May into the first few days of June, and from late October into the first week of November.
