The list sounds like personal choices so only suggested swapping Grain de Sel (dinner to lunch) and Beefbar vice versa (lunch to dinner) because Grain de Sel is lovely during the day and so close to Saline. Also, I believe it's the same menu for lunch and dinner. We have had lunch several times and were supposed to go for dinner this trip but plans changed due to the water situation.
Beefbar is beautiful for sunset drinks, have been many times, though we have not dined. I suggested it for dinner (vs lunch) b/c so pretty in the evening. You can't go wrong, it's beautiful any time of day!

That was our go to destination for Fete Nacional after Maya’s closed. A good place to be for an excellent meal and a super view of fireworks.

Agree on Bonito--we occasionally stop for cocktails, not to dine. It's still a very pretty room though having been to Barry recently (just below) I would suggest drinks there instead. The space has been totally transformed, very clubby, lovely bar and views, cocktails excellent. Menu looks interesting as well.
We are fond of Grain de Sel--enjoyed two very nice lunches there over the past few weeks. Clearly popular with locals. The menu is nicely updated--some dishes remain while many are new--as is the cocktail list. We shared stracciatella with apricot jam and curried rillettes, I had delicious tuna crudo with salsa verde, others mahi ceviche, smoked tuna burger and seared tuna w/coconut rice. We also shared an excellent banana tarte tatin and were offered house-made rum. We've been several times since its re-opening last November and will return.
As the saying goes, to each their own when it comes to St Barth...and its restaurants!

Agree re: Barry -- expensive, but a lovely, very graciously renovated space . . . great drinks and appetizers, with a "killer" view.

I think you will be very happy with Beefbar in the evening, stunning view.
Nyama always top of our list--genuine hospitality, the nicest people and wonderful food.
Having only been for dinner, when a friend suggested Nyama for lunch it was a definite yes!
The daytime menu is different (as you can see on IG) and everything looked so good I had a hard time deciding. Chose a daily special of beautiful tuna sashimi with a side of the best fried rice. My friend had a Bo Bun that looked so incredible I was tempted to go back again to try it but ran out of time. Highly recommend day or night.

As we were told by Mamo folks, their people participated in the creation of Barry; thus, I think it has the qualities that Dennis mentions above.

I believe Mamo is part of DB Group and Barry part of Group Annie Famose, but perhaps there was some Mamo participation in creation of Barry ??? Seems unlikely but

I think the answer may arise, as I understand the situation, from some overlapping ownership among investors in the DB & Annie Famose groups . . . with occasional operational support between them.

On the other hand, AI has conflicting reports about management of Barry, with one report saying that it is part of the DB Group:
“Barry St. Barths (also known as Barry Rooftop & Club) is part of the . . . parent hospitality group, often referred to as the DB Group.” Fake news?

There also seems to be a third group — the “St. Tropez Group,” possibly part of the “Indie Group.”

My wife and I are returning to the island in a few weeks for the 4th time since we first visited in 2012 for our honeymoon. All our other trips have been in May, so this will be our first time outside of that small window.

We're staying 7 nights. I've thrown together a loose itinerary, mainly just dinner reservations, but wanted to share it for any opinions....good or bad.

We basically are planning to get out for a little adventure each morning, roll into a boozy lunch, then a lazy afternoon and a nice dinner.

Our dinners are:

• Tamarin
• Nikki Beach (second seating Sunday) - I know that's not really dinner. The World Cup finals are the same time as our res, so it should be interesting, especially if France makes it.
• Eddy's Ghetto
• Le Papillon Ivre
• Bonito
• Le Toiny Beach Extravaganza
• Grain De Sel

We also have a few lunch reservations.....Beefbar, Ti Corrail and Pearl Beach.

Thoughts? Anything you'd definitely swap in/out?

My wife has a spa appointment at Hotel Christopher, which sounds amazing.

Last question....we're definitely getting a rental car. Was probably going with a Mini convertible, but I'm intrigued by the Mokes. Do you think the fun quirkiness of renting one of those instead would wear away quickly?

If Mamo isn't on your list, then you are missing out. It's our new favorite along with Nyama. LPI, Tamarin, Eddy's all misses for us over the years. We actually enjoy Bonito despite the negativity on this forum.

It's not surprising that, as apparently doing business in St. Barth is getting more expensive, it will involve more partnerships.
