You don’t have to be Irish to love an Irish tale.
During WWII the Irish embassy in Berlin arranged for German children to travel to neutral Ireland to escape the horrors of war. This is the multi generational saga of two sisters, their parents, the family and the town in Ireland that offers them both joy and nightmares, and their children and grand children.
The people characterized are all special. I cared for The family lost in Germany, the family that adopts the girls, the family that leaves Ireland for America.
