Recent evening walk in Gustavia

Early for dinner reservation, so I used a few minutes to sightsee. Most prominent in my exploration was the Anglican Church (“St. Bartholomew’s”).

. . . with an inviting message at the entry.

. . . and a bright, very pretty, functional interior

. . . and plaque with its history.

Looking across the street to the harbor . . .

. . . a historic 18th century anchor offers a great meeting point.

Nearby, of course, is legendary Eddy’s Ghetto.

. . . and a new, trés expensive clothing store (extension from its Los Angeles roots).

. . . ending at my evening dinner destination!

A beautiful walkabout! James Perse is a very California type of casual wear, very plain, but what it does have are these special tee shirts, both long and short sleeved, in cotton but some in stretch fabric, that are especially made for each Four Seasons resort. Also a zippy hoodie sweatshirt. Plain on the front, but down the back are listed the towns or beaches in the area of the resort. Maui has theirs (I have navy); the big island of Hawaii has the one from Hualalai (dove gray). Great for beach or around town. Last I knew, they don’t send; you have to go. I am betting they will make one for SBH, so somebody needs to high tail it over there and ask. If they are making one for SBH, do grab it while you can as it will be a great souvenir and you will throw it on with jeans or you can layer it up with a cute zippy hoodie for a walk on the beach

We also enjoyed finding some things for a little dressier travels here. Wonderful service from Estefania and manager Ben. Nice back story too.
